Trace Loehr's RBI single in the seventh inning broke a 2-2 tie and pushed the Beloit Snappers to a 3-2 win over the Quad Cities River Bandits on Sunday afternoon at Pohlman Field. The River Bandits finished the road trip to Cedar Rapids and Beloit with a 4-4 record.
The River Bandits broke up a scoreless affair in the top of the sixth inning. Ruben Castro worked a one out walk and raced all the way around to score on a double down the left field line by Miguelangel Sierra. Jake Adams also reached on a walk to put two on base. Colton Shaver punched a double of his own down the left field line to score Sierra and make it 2-0.
Beloit answered back in the bottom half. After retiring the first two hitters in the inning, Tyler Ivey had set down the first 17 hitters that he had faced in order. However, Beloit strung together three consecutive two out hits, including a two-RBI single to right from Lazaro Armenteros to tie the game.

In the seventh inning, Hunter Hargrove led off with a single up the middle off of reliever Enoli Paredes. A walk by Jack Meggs put two on base for Loehr. With two strikes, Loehr reached out and lined a single the other way to plate Hargrove and give Beloit a 3-2 advantage. The River Bandits only had one baserunner the rest of the way against Jared Poche, who picked up the win out of the bullpen.
Ivey worked 6.0 innings and allowed two runs on three hits while recording four strikeouts. Paredes took the loss after tossing the final 3.0 innings and giving up one run on three hits and two walks. He struck out four.
The River Bandits were limited to five hits. Sierra was the only player in the game with two. He has collected multiple hits in five of his 10 games with the team.
