Robles Lifts Mets Past Stone Crabs 1-0

April 21, 2013

Hansel Robles pitched six scoreless innings to lift the Mets past the Charlotte Stone Crabs 1-0 in the series opener on Sunday.

Robles won his second game of the season and allowed just three hits with two walks and six strikeouts.

Jim Fuller worked out of a bases loaded jam in the seventh inning and struck out Jake Hager to preserve the lead. Chasen Bradford struck out two and earned a six-out save in relief.

Hector Guevara's errant throw in the fifth inning allowed Robbie Shields to score from second base, which proved to be the difference.

The Mets will visit the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Monday at 6:30 p.m. Marcos Camarena is the scheduled starter for the Mets.
