Indians Falter Late in 11-7 Loss to Emeralds

Spokane, Washington - It was smooth sailing for Spokane through the first five innings of tonight's game. Things dissolved quickly from there. Eugene scored three runs in the sixth and four more in the eighth to defeat the Indians, 11-7, in front of 2,867 fans at Avista Stadium for Mystery

Eugene scored three runs in the sixth and four more in the eighth to defeat the Indians, 11-7, in front of 2,867 fans at Avista Stadium for Mystery Photo Giveaway Night presented by Coors Light and Rock 94 1/2.

TOP PEFORMERS

We're cuckoo for Koko pops! First baseman Zach Kokoska gave the Indians a temporary lead with his opposite-field grand slam in the fifth inning and also reached twice on a pair of walks. The 24-year-old leads the Northwest League with a .333 average while adding 12 doubles, 12 home runs, and 13 stolen bases in 46 games this season.

Adael Amador lead off the bottom of the first with his ninth home run of the year and finished 1-for-3 with a walk and three runs scored.

Shortstop Nic Kent walked and singled to extend his current hitting streak to 10 games.

AROUND THE NORTHWEST LEAGUE

Vancouver (33-25) got a walk-off two-run homer from Garrett Spain in their 5-4 win over Hillsboro (23-36).

The AquaSox (28-31) got six strong innings from Reid VanScoter in their 4-1 victory against the Dust Devils (31-28).IndiIn

The Spokane Indians Office and Team Store hours are 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Monday through Thursday and 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Fridays. On game days, the Office and Team Store are open from 10:00 AM through the end of the game.
