LAS VEGAS, NV – Shortstop Jack Reinheimer broke a 2-2 tie with a two-run home run in the 7th inning as the Tacoma Rainiers claimed their seventh straight victory on Saturday night against the Las Vegas Aviators, 5-3. Reinheimer added a 9th inning insurance run for the Rainiers with an RBI double, logging his second three-RBI game of the season.

Trailing by a run in the 3rd inning, Tacoma (22-15) took their first lead when Donovan Walton singled home Ty Kelly and Reinheimer for a 2-1 advantage. Las Vegas (18-21) scored their second run against Rainiers starter Robert Dugger in the bottom of the 3rd inning to even the score.

Right-hander Ryan Dull (1-2) pitched a pair of scoreless frames for Tacoma in the 5th and 6th innings with one hit allowed and three strikeouts, keeping the game deadlocked until Reinheimer’s homer in the 7th inning.

Lefty Max Roberts pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed the final Aviators run in the 7th inning. He was relieved by right-hander Wyatt Mills with one out in the 8th inning. Mills faced one hitter and forced a double-play ground out to end the frame.

Southpaw Daniel Zamora pitched a perfect 9th inning with a strikeout to earn his first save of the campaign.

Tacoma’s seven-game winning streak is the team’s longest since winning eight consecutive contests from July 9-19, 2016.
