Summer Concession Job Opportunities

Cashiers - Concession stand cashiers are responsible for taking orders from fans at all points of sale throughout Smokies Stadium.

Cooks - Cooks are responsible for preparing food at Smokies Stadium. Previous experience is mandatory. It will also be expected of the employee to follow all general health and safety rules and guidelines.

Stand Runners - Concession Stand Runners are responsible for assisting the cashiers. A high level of urgency and organization is a must. The key role in this position is to speed up the process of delivering product to our fans.

Warehouse Runners - Warehouse runners are responsible for receiving deliveries and unloading trucks, preparing stands before events, and assisting stands during events.

Suite Servers - Servers are responsible for taking orders from our fans in the Luxury Suite level and other group areas as assigned. A positive attitude and sales background or serving experience a must.

Picnic Attendants - Picnic attendants are responsible for the execution of all group area events that relate to food and beverage.

Concession Stand Managers - Stand managers must be able to handle the above duties and have previous experience either at Smokies Stadium or at another restaurant or entertainment establishment. Stand managers will be responsible for all setup and cleanup of their stand and be able to produce sales and inventory reports at the end of each event.

Retail Sales Associates - Duties include providing superior, friendly customer service at all times, operating a cash register, upselling/educating customers on latest store promotions, stocking/re-stocking, ensuring that merchandise is presentable and attractive at all times, pricing new merchandise, assistance in maintaining accurate inventory counts and protecting the security of the store.

Mascots - Will wear one of our mascot costumes and entertain fans during games. Responsible for assisting in-game contests. Applicants must be energetic and enjoy working with children, and be available for paid mascot appearances in the East Tennessee Area throughout the year.

'Rally Crew' Promo Team - On field personalities who helps plan, coordinate & execute half inning events. Must be energetic, outgoing, willing to perform in front of large crowds and work with children.

Pressbox Staff - Members of the Pressbox will learn and operate various equipment such as replay, switcher, and pitch clock. Stringer and Official Scorer positions are also available.

Camera Operators - Camera Operators are an imperative part of the production of our broadcasts. We are searching for aspiring individuals who are interested in live game day camera work. Previous camera work and experience a major plus. Must be able to take direction well, lift 30-40 lbs, and stand for long periods of time. Basic baseball knowledge a plus.

Kids Zone Staff/Playground Attendants - Duties include operating the Speed Pitch, Home Run Challenge, and other inflatables. Applicants must enjoy working with children, be outgoing and personable. Will make sure playground is kept safe and clean for all children playing, and make certain a family friendly environment for families.

Ushers - Duties include direct fan customer service, assisting people in finding their seats, making sure people sit in their ticketed seats, answering any questions fans may have, assisting security in keeping fans out of restricted areas, and ensuring the safety and comfort of fans in your vicinity. Above all, you must always appear approachable and eager to assist and make friends.

Game Day Porters - Duties included sweeping and mopping spills around stadium, removing trash, refilling paper towel and soap dispensers and other cleaning duties as needed.

Ticket Takers/Group Area Attendants - Duties include but are not limited to greeting guests, checking tickets for correct dates, scanning tickets, facilitating management and organization of group area, minor set up before guests arrive, placing appropriate wristbands on guests as they arrive, and being the point person for any questions groups may have during their event.

Ticket Sellers - Ticket Sellers work in the ticket office selling tickets to the general public for each home game. Must be familiar with working on computers and cash handling. Must also be able to provide information to fans regarding our promotional schedule, opponents, Smokies Stadium, and any other events at the stadium.

Gameday Positions

While each job here at Smokies Stadium is different, each one requires physical demands that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing your duties you may be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time, run, sit, navigate stairs, stoop, kneel or crouch. You may be asked to occasionally lift and/or move up to approximately 25 pounds. You will be exposed to outside weather conditions and noise levels. We ask that you be aware of these conditions and if you feel that you cannot meet these requirements, please inform the person with whom you interview.
