SEVIERVILLE - Pharaoh's Conclave (PCX) is partnering with the Tennessee Smokies to host their first eSports tournament at Smokies Stadium on November 10th. Check-in will begin at 9:00am with gaming tournaments beginning at 11:00am.
"We are so excited to partner with such a great and innovative organization," added Pharaoh's Conclave. "Not only will the Smokies engage their fans in a new and exciting way, but they will also create new fans among eSports enthusiasts."
The event targets both amateur and professional gamers, their families, as well as the gaming and cosplay communities in and around the Tennessee area. It will expose and engage participants to the entry points and communities that exist in the eSports, video gaming, and digital entertainment industry ecosystems.
"We are excited to be hosting the inaugural Smokies eSports Challenge at Smokies Stadium this fall in partnership with Pharaoh's Conclave," stated Smokies Special Events Manager Jason Moody. "eSports is a growing industry in the East Tennessee region and the Tennessee Smokies are eager to become a part of the gaming community!"
The event will be a day-long video game tournament featuring 6 different video games and live streaming. The six featured games are League of Legends, Rocket League, Fortnite, FIFA '19, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Gamers and spectators both are required to purchase general admission tickets for entry into the event. Gamers are then given the opportunity to register to compete in one or more tournaments. Food and beverages will be for sale at the event. Inflatables for children will also be available.
On November 9, the day before the Smokies eSports Challenge, the Tennessee Smokies are hosting a Pre-Event party at Token Game Tavern. This event is free and all gamers are encouraged to attend. All guests that purchase Token Game Tavern VIP tickets in advance receive free food, drink tickets, and tokens for games at the pre-party event. These tickets are only $35/person and must be purchased by November 2 at 11:59pm.
