KODAK, Tenn.- The Smokies "walked off" the Braves in the bottom of the ninth to take a 2-0 series lead. The Smokies out-slugged the Braves 14-9 in a comeback victory. Six out of the nine Smokies recorded a multi-hit performance in the 9-8 win.

Mississippi struck first with two outs in the third inning with a two run home run off the bat of Cal Conley to take a 2-0 lead. The Smokies responded with a three run inning, including a go-ahead two RBI single from BJ Murray. Mississippi took a 6-3 lead in the fourth inning scoring four runs.

Tennessee scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth with solo home runs by Murray and Cole Roederer to make it 6-5 Braves. The Smokies scored three runs in the sixth inning on a game-tying double by Pete Crow-Armstrong, followed by a go-ahead two RBI single by the catcher Pablo Aliendo.

Mississippi tied the game up at eight in the top of the eighth inning, when Drew Lugbauer homered and Justin Dean hit an RBI groundout to tie the game up. The Smokies had the bases loaded with two outs in the ninth inning, when Owen Caissie walked to win the ballgame by a final of 9-8.
