Free for All: Playoff tickets at no charge

Should Power clinch, game one of post-season in Charleston, WV

Charleston, WV (August 27, 2015) - Entering play on August 27, the West Virginia Power have a magic number of four with 12 games remaining in the 2015 regular season. Should the Power clinch a playoff spot, game one of the South Atlantic League's Northern Division Championship Series would be played at Appalachian Power Park on September 9. The Power would host the first half division-winning Hickory Crawdads with a first pitch scheduled for 7:05 pm.

 

Thanks to several sponsors, general admission tickets for the playoff game on September 9 will be free to the public when picked up in advance. Box seats will be sold at an advance rate of $2.00 per seat. There is a ten ticket maximum and these discounts are also available online at www.wvpower.com. A $1.50 convenience fee will be applied to each ticket when purchased online.

 

The free and discounted tickets are courtesy Suddenlink Communications, Thomas Hospital, Proud Eagle, the Charleston Converntion and Visitors Bureau and MVB Bank.

 

On September 9, all tickets will be sold at their regular game day prices. Box seats will be $10.00 at the box office and $8.00 online at www.wvpower.com. General Admission tickets will be $8.00 in person or $6.00 on this site.

 

Hickory won the first half division title in June and would host game two on Friday, September 11. Game three, if necessary, would also be played at Hickory's L.P. Frans Stadium on Saturday, September 12.

 

If the Power advance to the South Atlantic League Championship Series, West Virginia would host games one and two on September 14 and 15 at Appalachian Power Park. All box seats would be sold for $10.00 while general admission tickets would be $8.00. A two dollar discount applies on both ticket types when purchased online at www.wvpower.com. The league championship series is a best-of-five set with game three plus any additional games to be played in the Southern Division champion's home stadium.
