Rascal’s Hit the Books Reading Program, presented by Capital Blue Cross is back! All students who complete the reading program by reading 4 books will receive two free tickets to a Senators game (on select nights)! Each student will receive a bookmark to keep track of their progress. Teachers will initial each of the bases on the back of the bookmark until all the bases are full. Then, the bookmark can be turned into the Senators Box Office to redeem their two free tickets.
The reading program starts off with a Bookmark Design Contest. We encourage students to design their best baseball-themed bookmark. The team’s favorite design will be chosen as the design we feature on the thousands of bookmarks we distribute to students in central PA. After you register, you will receive a bookmark design sheet with instructions and rules for the design contest.
To kick-off the reading program, Rascal would love to visit your school! Check the box below for a School Visit if you are interested in more information on having Rascal visit your school. School visits usually take place between January and March.
If you’d like to organize a specific night at the ballpark for your school, check the box below. We’d encourage all students from your school to redeem their tickets for that specific night and feature them in an on-field parade before the game. If you select this option, a Senators staff member will reach out with more information.
