Timber Rattlers and Milwaukee Brewers extend affiliation through 2020

December 2, 2014

GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and Milwaukee Brewers began their partnership in September of 2008 and it will continue for many more years. The teams have announced an extension of the current affiliation agreement through the end of the 2020 season.

"Our relationship with the entire Brewers organization has been a special one for the Timber Rattlers, for the local business community in the Fox Valley and, most importantly, for our fans," said Timber Rattlers president Rob Zerjav.

"The Brewers provided us the team that brought home the first Midwest League Championship in Timber Rattlers history and it has been great to see the success of former Rattlers now making an impact at the big league level in Milwaukee," Zerjav continued. "We look forward to many more years of this great partnership both on and off the field."

The 2014 Timber Rattlers had an amazing season both on and off the field. The team made the playoffs for the second time under manager Matt Erickson. The team drew - despite seven rainouts - 250,131 fans to set a franchise attendance record for games played at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. The average attendance of 3,970 also set a franchise record.

"We thoroughly enjoy the professional working relationship that Rob and the Timber Rattlers provide to the Milwaukee Brewers," said Brewers General Manager Doug Melvin. "This long-term relationship continues to show the trust and confidence that we have in working together as we continue to develop future Major League players.

The Timber Rattlers will begin their 21st season of baseball on April 9, 2015 with a road game. Wisconsin's home opener is Sunday, April 12 at 4:05pm against the Peoria Chiefs.
