Timber Rattlers athletic trainer wins award for second straight season

GRAND CHUTE, WI - Wisconsin Timber Rattlers athletic trainer Jeff Paxson has won the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society's Midwest League Athletic Trainer of the Year award. This is the second straight season Paxson has won the award.

GRAND CHUTE, WI - Wisconsin Timber Rattlers athletic trainer Jeff Paxson has won the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society's Midwest League Athletic Trainer of the Year award. This is the second straight season Paxson has won the award.

The award is voted on by the sixteen Midwest League trainers. Paxson is now eligible for the National Trainer of the Year Award. The winner of the national award will be announced during the 2017 Baseball Winter Meetings.

Paxson has won Trainer of the Year in the Midwest League five times. He won the award once with the Beloit Snappers in 1997 and four times with the Timber Rattlers (2010, 2011, 2016, and 2017). He has also been the PBATS Trainer of the Year in the California League (2000) and in the Pacific Coast League (2007).

PBATS named Paxson as the National Trainer of the Year in 2011. The award is given annually to an athletic trainer who exemplifies the best in athletic training for their players and demonstrates a deep concern for the community and fellow athletic trainers.
