The Trenton Thunder shutout the Harrisburg Senators 1-0 Tuesday night at ARM & HAMMER Park. Four Thunder pitchers combined to blank the Senators and send the club to their fifth straight loss.

After starting pitchers Jaron Long and Brian Keller exchanges two scoreless innings to open the game, Trenton broke through in the third. Following a walk and a single, Ben Ruta grounded into a run-scoring fielder's choice to plate the only run of the game.
That was all Long (0-1) allowed along with four hits and a walk in five innings.
Keller (1-0) blanked the Senators and limited them to just two hits and a walk in five and two-thirds frames.
Senators relievers Ismael Guillòn and Derek Self combined to shutout Trenton over the final three innings, allowing just one hit and a walk.
The Senators had their best chances to score in the sixth and eighth when they had runners at first and second and two outs but were unable to plate a run in both instances. Jordan Foley pitched a scoreless ninth inning to capture his second save and seal the 1-0 win.
Yadiel Hernandez was the only Senator to finish with multiple hits as he finished 2-3 with a walk.
The game is the Senators' first 1-0 loss since July 2, 2017 when they lost 1-0 to Binghamton in seven innings.
The Senators wrap up the road trip Wednesday morning in the series finale. Luis Reyes starts for the Senators against Trenton starter Justus Sheffield. First pitch is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at ARM & HAMMER Park.
