Mobile got the scoring started in the top of the second inning, as they got started with a man on base via a one out walk from Zach Houchins who was later brought around to score on a Jared Walsh single to left field to put the road side up 1-0 in the top of the second.

He was promptly brought around to score on Keon Barnum's 11th home run of the year, a laser shot that measured 384 feet to right field that put Birmingham up 2-1 in the fourth.

Francisco Arcia reached on a leadoff walk to kick off the sixth inning for the BayBears and was moved to third base on an Alberto Triunfel single. Michael Hermosillo drove in Arcia on a sacrifice fly to center field, and Tim Arakawa followed suit and drove Triunfel in on another sac fly to Gelalich in center, which gave Mobile the lead at 3-2.

Jeff Gelalich produced a clutch piece of hitting when he was able to score the right fielder on a single up the middle to even up the score at three.

The BayBears would tack on an insurance run in the top of the ninth on a Michael Hermosillo RBI single to right which brought the score to 5-3, the eventual final.
