MOBILE, Ala. - The Birmingham Barons (25-37) Monday night contest with the Mobile BayBears (23-37) was cancelled due to rain and wet grounds from Hank Aaron Stadium.

After almost an hour and a half delay, the game was officially called. Since tomorrow's final day of the series is already a doubleheader and the last games between the two clubs in the first half, Mondays' game is unable to be made up.
Monday's cancellation was the first cancelled game this season for the Barons. For the BayBears, it was their second.
The Barons will wrap up the series against the BayBears on Tuesday afternoon in the second doubleheader of the series. Tomorrow's games will be the last ever matchups the Barons play against the BayBears in Mobile. The Los Angeles Angels are moving their Southern League affiliate to Madison, Alabama next season and will become the Rocket City Trash Pandas.
Game one Tuesday will begin at 12:05 p.m. and game two will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. WJQX-FM 100.5 will be the home of the Barons on Tuesday. Fans can tune into the Coca-Cola Pregame Show starting at 11:50 a.m.
The Birmingham Barons are the proud Double-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. The Barons will open the home portion of their 2019 season, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of Michael Jordan's lone year in baseball, against the Tennessee Smokies at 7:05 p.m. April 10 at Regions Field.
