The Birmingham Barons are excited to announce the promotions schedule for the 2018 season, with the team's home opener Wednesday, April 11. The 2018 promotions schedule is loaded with premium giveaways, new theme nights, six specialty jerseys, and much more.

Over the course of the team's 70-game home schedule, the Barons will host 13 fireworks shows - one every Friday, excluding the first weekend in August when Pyro-palooza will light up the sky on Saturday, August 4, plus the Independence Eve celebration on Tuesday, July 3rd. In addition, fans can look forward to 13 premium giveaways, including an Eloy Jiménez bobblehead (June 1), a camo cap (May 19), a replica 1980s Barons adult jersey (June 30), a mini bat (May 11), and a Michael Kopech bobblehead (August 25).

This being the sixth season of Regions Field in downtown Birmingham, and the sixth anniversary gift being iron, the Barons are paying homage to the city's history as a titan iron/steel town with multiple promotions. The Barons will give away vintage steel ballpark signs on Saturday, June 16. As well, the team will don specialty theme jerseys on Friday, June 1 inspired by an iron mill - black jerseys highlighted by the neon of molten steel with the "Iron City" moniker across the chest.

The Iron City jersey is just one of six specialty jerseys the Barons will wear this season and auction off to benefit local non-profits. The team's other specialty jerseys include a moving jersey that features excerpts from "Letter From a Birmingham Jail" written in Martin Luther King Jr.'s own hand (April 14), a colorful tribute to Hispanic heritage (June 16), a patriotic jersey for Independence Eve (July 3), a Barons jersey based on the uniforms in the cult-classic movie Space Jam (July 21), and a food-inspired jersey of Birmingham's classic "BHam" nickname (August 25).

Brand new for 2018 are Wet Nose Wednesdays, Family Sundays, and Get Movin' Mondays. On four Wednesdays, dogs will be free with paid owner in the concourse level seating with an optional upgrade that includes a hot dog and dog bandana. Family Sundays will feature facepainters, fun activities, Kids Run the Bases postgame, and a great package with the new Kids Club. Get Movin' Mondays aim to support healthy living in the Magic City with pregame activities including yoga and runs, healthy food options, encouraging activity with laps around the concourse to view the game from every great angle available at Regions Field, and good old-fashioned sunshine for vitamin D.

Returning for 2018 are the popular Thirsty Thursday and 50-cent hot dog Tuesday promotions. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, hungry, and thirsty on these nights to take in the great deals at the Regions Field concessions stands. The Barons will also welcome popular traveling acts on select dates including BBoy McCoy (April 11), the ZOOperstars! (April 28), Peppa Pig & George (June 2), Jake the Diamond Dog (July 3), and BirdZerk! (August 25).

Additional highlights include a Talladega celebration with famed driver Bobby Allison (April 27), Star Wars Night (May 18), Salute to Armed Forces (May 19), Salute to First Responders (June 15), a crawfish boil (April 26), a Margaritaville Night at the Park shrimp boil (August 24), a "Frank 'N Stein" Oktoberfest celebration (August 16), and two Faith & Family Nights (April 13 & April 28).

Single-game tickets go on sale at 10am on Monday, February 19 at the ticket office at Regions Field. An online presale will be available on Friday, February 16 to subscribers of the Barons email newsletter.
