Captains Sweep Twin Bill From Loons

(Eastlake, OH) - Aaron Siliga had five RBI on the day as the Lake County Captains (23-43) swept the double header from Great Lakes (26-43) by a final of 5-2 in game one and 4-3 in game two. Siliga homered and drove in three in the opening game, and had two RBI in game two. On the night, Siliga scored three runs and had a total of four hits.

The Captains won game one by a final of 5-2. In the game, Lake County had three homeruns on the game. Aaron Siliga and Dorssys Paulino both hit their first homeruns on the season and Eric Haase hit his team high sixth homerun on the season as well. Haase also had a double and Yhoxian Medina hit a triple. Aaron Siliga had three RBI's in game one. Jake Sisco earned the win in game one for the Captains. Sisco (3-5) pitched five and two thirds innings, allowing four hits, two runs, one run was earned. Sisco walked five and struck out two. Louis Head earned the save after pitching one and one third inning, it was Head's fourth save of the season.

The Loons saw Joe Winker hit a homerun and Arismendy Ozoria (1-4) took the loss. Ozoria, pitched four and one third innings. He allowed eight hits, four earned runs, no walks and three strikeouts. Ozoria allowed two homeruns. Geoff Brown pitched the final one and two thirds innings and allowed one hit, one earned run and he had one strikeout.

In game two, Jeremy Lucas homered for the Captains, Logan Vick doubled and knocked in a run in addition to Siliga's big night. Josh Martin got the win. Martin (3-2) pitched two innings and allowed two hits, one earned run, four hits and one homerun.

Brandon Martinez started for Great Lakes in Game two and did not get a decision. The loss went to Jordan Hershiser. Hershiser (0-1) pitched two innings, with two hits, one unearned run and one walk and four strikeouts.

Sunday is Father's Day and the first 1,500 adult men attending the game will receive a Captains Baseball Cap courtesy of Lake Health. Game time is 1:30 PM.

The Captains are offering a special ticket package that will allows Dad's and their kids to play catch on the field prior to the game. Information is available at CaptainsBaseball.com. 

Sunday is also a Family Fun Sunday, presented by the Lake County YMCA, featuring a pre-game player autograph session, concourse entertainment and activities, the Kids' Zone area and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game. All kids in attendance will receive a Captains activities book and crayons, presented by the YMCA and Lake County Job and Family Services.

The first half will come to a close on Sunday when LHP Ryan Merritt (3-6, 3.78) will get the start for the Captains. The Loons will counter 16 year old LHP Julio Urias (1-0, 2.51). First Pitch is at 1:30 PM
