City of Eastlake Appreciation Day Set for Saturday, April 27

March 12, 2013

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, the Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, are proud to continue the annual tradition of providing City of Eastlake residents a $2 ticket offer for a designated game in 2013. In addition to the traditional City of Eastlake Day resident offer, the Captains are introducing a special Opening Night ticket package that is exclusive to Eastlake residents.

This year's City of Eastlake Appreciation Day, in which residents may purchase tickets for $2, will take place on Saturday, April 27 at 1 PM at Classic Park. Half of the proceeds from the sale of Eastlake resident tickets for this game will be donated to Captains Charities, the non-profit arm of the Captains organization.

Eastlake residents will also have the option to purchase a special brand-new Captains Opening Night Ticket Package that includes a ticket to the 2013 season opener on Thursday, April 4 and a ticket to City of Eastlake Day on April 27, for only $9.

Specially-priced Eastlake resident tickets and Opening Night Ticket Packages may be purchased in-person only at the Classic Park Box Office beginning this Saturday, March 16. Eastlake residents must show proof of residency with an ID showing an Eastlake address.  These special offers are only available at the Captains Box Office. Purchases of the Special Opening Night Ticket Package are not eligible to receive the free Opening Night t-shirt offered only at the event hosted at Classic Park on Saturday, March 16.

"The response to Eastlake Day continues to be fantastic from residents", said Captains General Manager Brad Seymour. "We are excited to introduce the exclusive Opening Night Ticket Package offer for residents and also include a donation to Captains Charities this year with every resident ticket purchase as it allows our non-profit to continue to have an impact and give back to our community."

The Captains Opening Night Celebration is Thursday, April 4 at 6:30 PM as the Captains welcome the Lansing Lugnuts, an affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, to Classic Park. The first 1,500 fans to enter Classic Park will receive a fleece blanket and the Captains will be hosting a Happy Hour from 5 PM - 6:30 PM featuring 25-cent beers and half-price beers and soda during the game. Many other special events and promotions are planned for the Captains home opener, traditionally one of the most memorable games of the baseball season.

Full season tickets plans, 7-, 12-, 20-, and 35-game mini ticket plans for the 2013 season are on sale now at great prices complete with several exclusive benefits. Information can be found at the Captains website: CaptainsBaseball.com.
