COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado Springs Sky Sox will be hosting their Annual National Anthem Auditions for the 2018 season on Saturday, March 3 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the main stage in the Chapel Hills Mall. Soloists, duets, trios, and quartets are invited to audition "The

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado Springs Sky Sox will be hosting their Annual National Anthem Auditions for the 2018 season on Saturday, March 3 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the main stage in the Chapel Hills Mall. Soloists, duets, trios, and quartets are invited to audition "The Star Spangled Banner" and "God Bless America" for a chance to sing during the 2018 season at Security Service Field. Five winning contestants will be determined by a panel of guest judges.
The top performer of the day will be selected to sing the "The Star Spangled Banner" or "God Bless America" on Independence Day, Wednesday, July 4. Second place will earn the opportunity to sing "The Star Spangled Banner" on Opening Day, Tuesday, April 10. The remaining winners will be invited to perform at a home game during the 2018 season which runs through September 3.
All vocal performances must be a cappella or accompanied by a personal instrument and only traditional renditions of songs will be considered for selection. Each performer may audition for either "The Star Spangled Banner" or "God Bless America" and will be considered for either song.
To reserve an audition time between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on March 3, please contact Crystal Mazey in the Sky Sox Community Relations department at (719) 597-1449 or through e-mail at [email protected]. Walk up auditions on Saturday, March 3 are welcome and will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis, as time permits.
The 2018 Sky Sox baseball season begins April 5 against the Omaha Storm Chasers. The home opener is scheduled for April 10 against the New Orleans Baby Cakes when the Sky Sox will dress as the 1900-era Colorado Springs Millionaires to kick off their "Cheers to 45 More Years" season-long celebration.
