Start your summer with the Richmond Flying Squirrels! The Flying Squirrels kickoff an exciting six-game homestand Tuesday with free Hats, fireworks and so much more. Come celebrate the beginning of Nutzy's favorite season!

Tuesday, June 20
PGA Tour Champions golfer Bobby Wadkins will throw out the ceremonial first pitch on this special Tip of the Cap Tuesday. The first 1,000 fans (15 & up) will receive a free Flying Squirrels visor courtesy of the Dominion Energy Charity Classic. Find out more about Richmond's only Champions Tour event. Gates for Tuesday will open at 5:30 p.m. (get here early to get your visor). First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. as the Squirrels take on the Hartford Yard Goats (Colorado Rockies). Wednesday, June 21
Sip wine in style with the Flying Squirrels Wine Up Wednesday presented by Schell Brothers! As the weather heats up, maybe it is time you try a Flying Squirrels Wine Slushie! (21 & older, of course). Wine specials from local vineyards are available from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and first pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. Get your tickets here!
Thursday, June 22
It's Fireworks & onion rings on Thursday at The Diamond. Thursday is National Onion Rings Day and the Flying Squirrels will be celebrating with onion ring food specials and creations. In-Your-Face Fireworks will follow the contest presented by Steak 'n Shake. We will "ring in" the contest at 6:35 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Get your tickets here
Friday, June 23
On Friday the Akron RubberDucks (Cleveland Indians) come to town to kick off a three game series, starting with a Free Shirt Friday and Happy Hour at The Diamond. Free Irish Heritage Flying Squirrels shirts to the 1st 1,000 fans (15 & up). Get here early for the pre-game Irish dance performances. Happy hour specials with our friends from K95 run from 6-8 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m and kids run the bases after the game.Get your tickets here.
Saturday, June 24
The Diamond will be humming on Saturday night to welcome in the first weekend of summer. Saturday is Swim Team Night and following the game we have Super Blast Fireworks presented by TowneBank. Kids run the bases after the contest against Akron. Gates open at 5 p.m. with first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m. Get your tickets here.
Sunday June 25
The Squirrels will wrap up the homestand on a Kids Club Sunday with Brunch & Baseball. The first 1,000 kids (14 & under) will receive a free Nutzy collectible plush toy thanks to Coca-Cola. Brunch items and mimosa specials are available throughout the ballpark and an ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BRUNCH option is also available (click here for details).
