Diaz's blast, a two-run home run to the right of the batter's eye, gave the Miracle a 5-0 lead in the second.
RBI hits from Ernie De La Trinidad in both the third and fifth innings extended the Miracle lead to 7-0. De La Trinidad finished 3-for-4 on the night with a triple and two runs batted in.
Florida broke through in the sixth on an RBI single from Trey Harris before scoring three times in the eighth. Riley Delgado doubled in a run before scoring on an error to trim the deficit to 7-3. Later in the inning, Harris earned his second RBI of the evening on a ground out.
Melvi Acosta earned his first save of the year with 1.1 scoreless innings. In the ninth, Acosta retired the first two batters he faced before surrendering consecutive singles. He then retired Delgado on a fly out to left to preserve the win.
