CHATTANOOGA, TENN. (APRIL 5, 2014) - After being held scoreless for the first five innings of Saturday night's game at Chattanooga (1-2), the Generals (2-1) offense exploded during a 3-run sixth inning rally to capture their second win of the 2014 season with a 6-1 victory.

Jabari Blash scored first as Gabriel Noriega reached on a two-out, bases loaded fielding error by third baseman Daniel Mayora. Jamal Austin added an RBI single that scored Dan Paolini and Ramon Morla to give the Generals a 3-1 lead.

Austin went 2-for-4 including a first-inning double to extend a 3-game hitting streak dating back to the Generals' 12-7 opening day win on Thursday. The center fielder leads Jackson with a team-best .462 batting average.

Morla added to the Generals' lead two innings later, scoring Paolini on an RBI single to put Jackson ahead 4-1.

Blash also extended his own three-game hitting streak with a ninth-inning RBI single that scored Nate Melendres and Jack Marder. His six RBIs in the team's first three games are the most among Generals hitters.

Starter Cam Hobson earned his first win of 2014 in his season debut. Hobson allowed three hits, one run and had three strikeouts in 5.2 innings pitched.

O'Koyea Dickson provided the only RBI for Chattanooga with a first-inning, two-out double that scored Mayora to give the Lookouts an early lead.

Chattanooga starter Chris Reed pitched well prior to the Generals' offensive outburst. The left-hander pitched five scoreless innings and had four strikeouts before allowing three un-earned runs in the sixth.
