League Game Between the Wareham Gatemen and the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox Marks the First Time a Cape Cod League Game Will be Played in Connecticut
(Hartford, CT) The Hartford Yard Goats Baseball Club, the Double-A Eastern League affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, announced that the Cape Cod Baseball League is coming to Connecticut. The Wareham Gatemen and Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox will play a League game at Dunkin' Donuts Park on Tuesday July 24, 2018 at 12:30pm. The matchup will mark the first time a Cape Cod League Game has been played in Connecticut. From 2009 - 2011, the Cape Cod League All Star Game was played at Fenway Park.
"The wholesome family nature, rich history, and unprecedented level of play is a perfect match for the atmosphere at Dunkin' Donuts Park" said Yard Goats President Tim Restall. "This will be a wonderful opportunity for fans to see some of the greatest amateur players in baseball right here in downtown Hartford."

About the Cape Cod Baseball League
The Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) is a collegiate summer baseball league located on Cape Cod in the state of Massachusetts. Comprised of 10 franchises, the CCBL hosts the top collegiate baseball players from around the country each summer. Many future Major League Baseball players have played in the CCBL during their college years. In 2017, there were 306 active CCBL Alumni playing in the major leagues and more than 1,100 all-time alumni who have gone on to play professional baseball.
