Hartford CT – Yard Goats starting pitcher Mason Albright fired six scoreless innings, and relievers Juan Mejia and Jaden Hill finished the effort, as Hartford shutout the New Hampshire Fisher Cats 6-0 in front of a sellout crowd of 6,940 on Friday night at Dunkin’ Park. Ryan Ritter and Warming Bernabel each drove in two runs for the Yard Goats. The Yard Goats also had a season-high and tied a franchise record of seven stolen bases.

The Yard Goats scored the first run of the game on a clutch two-out RBI double by third baseman Warming Bernabel in the bottom of the first inning that scored shortstop Ryan Ritter from second to give Hartford a 1-0 lead off New Hampshire starter Trenton Wallace.

In the bottom of the third inning, Yard Goats left fielder Kyle Datres scored on a Bladimir Restituyo sacrifice fly to center field, making it a 2-0 lead for Hartford.

In the sixth inning, the Yard Goats offense rallied with two outs, starting with a Ryan Ritter two RBI double that brought home Adael Amador and Nic Kent. This was followed by a Kyle Datres double that scored Ryan Ritter from second making the lead 5-0.

In the eighth inning, Warming Bernabel singled on a line drive that brought home Roniker Palma extending the lead to 6-0.

Yard Goats reliever Juan Mejia worked the seventh and eighth innings and Jaden Hill pitched the ninth.

The Yard Goats will continue the series against the Toronto Blue Jays affiliate, New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Saturday night May 18th (6:10), at Dunkin' Park. It’s Small Business Saturday and Fireworks Night!! RHP Connor Van Scoyoc will start for the Yard Goats opposite Michael Dominguez who will start for the Fisher Cats.
