Somerset, NJ- The Somerset Patriots scored three runs in each of the first two innings, and then got help from a Elijah Dunham grand slam home run to beat the Hartford Yard Goats 10-1 on Sunday night at TD Bank Ballpark in Somerset, New Jersey, The Patriots took four of the six games and the Yard Goats went 4-8 on the two-city road trip. The Yard Goats return home on Tuesday (7:05 PM) to host the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Hartford is in 3rd place 3.5 GB of Portland in the standings.

Somerset scored three runs in the first inning off Yard Goats starter Tony Locey. After the right-hander retired the first two batters, Austin Wells cranked a home run, Elijah Dunhan doubled and Andres Chaparo belted a two-run homer, giving the Patriots a 3-0 lead.

Somerset added three more runs in the second inning on a sacrifice fly by Anthony Volpe, RBI triple by Everson Periera, and a run-scoring single by Austin Wells to make it 6-0.

The Yard Goats scored a run off Somerset starter and Yankees prospect Randy Vasquez in the fourth inning, as Aaron Schunk came home on Aaron Schunk's stolen base. However, Somerset got a grand slam from Dunham in the sixth inning.

The Yard Goats return home to Dunkin' Donuts Park on Tuesday to host New Hampshire at 7:05. RHP Noah Gotis will start for the Yard Goats and RHP Adam Kloffenstein will start for the Fisher Cats. The broadcast can be heard on AM 1410 WPOP, FM 100.9 or the iheart radio app.
