'Dads Drop Doubleheader Against West Virginia

Strong Start By Leal Not Enough in Game 2

Hickory, NC- The 'Dads lost both games in a doubleheader against the West Virginia Power. The Power took the first game 4-0 and won game two 2-0.

Hickory, NC- The 'Dads lost both games in a doubleheader against the West Virginia Power. The Power took the first game 4-0 and won game two 2-0.

Reid Anderson started game one for the 'Dads, his first start since May 13th after spending time on the disabled list with a blister issue. He tossed six innings, giving up four runs (one run was unearned) before turning the ball over to Tyler Ferguson for the last inning.
Bubba Thompson and Kole Enright each recorded a single for the lone 'Dads hits in the loss.
Right hander Werner Leal got the start for Hickory in game two. Leal delivered six innings, giving up two runs (only one earned) with six strikeouts. Derek Heffel took over for the final two innings, and didn't allow a hit.
Pedro Gonzalez singled in the first and stole second for his sixth swipe of the season. Yohel Pozo recorded the only other hit for the 'Dads offense with a single in the fourth.
The series continues tomorrow night with Land Before Time Night. Ed "Dino Guy" Bounds will be in attendance with his animatronic dinosaurs. The first pitch will be at 6pm and fans can stick around after the game for a post-game autograph session with some of their favorite 'Dads players.
