Hickory, NC- The Crawdads lost to the West Virginia Power 6-4 on Friday night despite a homerun by Ryan Dorow.

The Power started the scoring with five runs in the first two innings off 'Dads starting pitcher Reid Anderson.
The 'Dads cut into the lead with a two-run homerun by Kole Enright in the bottom of the fifth inning. The homerun was Enright's fourth of the season. The homer brought Ratliff in for his 25th run scored of the season, which leads the team. In the next at bat, Yonny Hernandez reached second on a throwing error by the shortstop. Pedro Gonzalez hit a grounder to the shortstop, who tried to throw the advancing Hernandez out, but committed another throwing error. Both runners were safe on the play. Ryan Dorow grounded out to third, but it was enough to bring Hernandez in to score and Gonzalez to third. Gonzalez crossed the plate to cut the Power's lead to just one as he bluffed a steal of home, drawing a called balk on the pitcher. The Power manager argued to the home plate umpire and on the appeal to the field umpire, the call was reversed and Gonzalez was sent back to third. The next pitch got away from the pitcher and Gonzalez was called out in a close play at home as he tried to score.
Anderson held the Power scoreless for the next four innings, finishing the night with five runs allowed (four earned), six hits, two walks, and three strikeouts. Joe Barlow came on in relief for the seventh inning. He didn't allow a hit but walked four to bring in a run for the Power and push the score to 6-3. Demarcus Evans pitched the final two innings, shutting down the Power's bats.
The 'Dads rallied for a run in the bottom of the eighth. Pedro Gonzalez reached first after swinging at a wild strike three. Dorow doubled to send Gonzalez to third. He scored to make the score 6-4 as Yohel Pozo grounded out.
