Staff Reflect on Favorite Memories from 2018

Welcome back to Crawdads Corner! The twenty sixth season of Crawdads baseball wrapped up a month ago but while the year is still fresh in our minds, we want to share our staff's favorite memories and moments from 2018. This season was certainly filled with moments that we will never forget!

"There is not one particular moment that sticks with me from this past season. Year after year, it is more a collection of moments that play out every night at the ballpark. Families putting their phones away and actually interacting with each other. Kids and adults attending their first ever baseball game. As well as kids getting a foul ball or a player autograph. Of course one thing does stick out a little about this past year, tarp pulls. A whole lot of tarp pulls!" - Mark Seaman, General Manager
"There were a lot of great moments at the stadium this season. My favorite moments will always be seeing the smiling faces of adults and children, and all the memories we're helping them to create." -Chris Dillon, Director of Promotions and Community Relations
"My favorite moments of the season were during the 'Field of Dreams' when kids got to interact with the players. The kids' excitement is always a joy to watch when they meet professional baseball players." - Daniel Barkley, Group Sales Executive
"My favorite moment was hosting our annual Walkin' Roll event. The Crawdads team up with athletes from the Walkin' Roll Activities League every season. These athletes get to experience a major league moment- playing baseball at the Frans." -Charlie Downs, Assistant General Manager
"My favorite memory from the 2018 season was 90's Night. It was a lot of fun going back to the decade that I grew up in!" - John Ryan, Group Sales Executive
"My most memorable moment of 2018 was when we were able to be a part of a surprise military homecoming for a father as he returned home to his family after nine months of deployment. The excitement and happiness shown from the family and fans is something I'll never forget." - Robby Willis, Director of Group Sales

"I loved all the theme nights this year when we got to dress up in crazy costumes. There's not many jobs out there that you can dress up as the Statue of Liberty one night and a dinosaur the next but hopefully some of our costumes brought smiles to people's faces." - Ashley Salinas, Creative Services Specialist
"Star Wars night because we had a packed house, everyone dressed up in costumes, and the awesome fireworks show. Nothing cooler than seeing the sky lit up with light sabers and fireworks in the background." - Douglas Locascio, Executive Director of Sales and Merchandise
