Chattanooga, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks, got their second consecutive quality start from right-hander Matt Peacock (5-3, 2.52 ERA) and beat the Chattanooga Lookouts on Sunday by a 3-2 count.

The Generals (48-40) won their third game in a row for the first time in the Second Half, securing at least a series split in their six-game set with the Lookouts (44-43).
After holding Montgomery to one run in seven innings last week, Peacock did the same thing to the home-standing Lookouts in Sunday's matinee. The right-hander got eight groundball outs on 85 pitches, striking out a season-high eight batters with one walk and three hits allowed. Justin Donatella replaced Peacock with a clean inning of relief duties, and Kevin Ginkel (S, 5), in his first game back from the injured list, allowed a solo homer while still preserving the victory in the ninth inning.
Offensively, the Generals scored in the first inning for the sixth game in a row, with Drew Ellis plating two runs on a double and Ramon Hernandez driving home Ellis for a 3-0 lead. After the top of the first, the Generals did not score again, finishing the day with just one extra-base hit. Jackson is now 4-19 in games where they don't record multiple hits for extra bases. Defensively, the West Tennessee squad played their third straight error-free game, and they overtook Chattanooga in the North Division standings for the Second Half, moving to 9-9 while dropping the Lookouts to 8-10.
