JetHawks announce promotional schedule for 2014

Friday fireworks shows, three jersey giveaways headline season-long schedule

LANCASTER, Calif. - The JetHawks announced the club's promotional schedule for the 2014 season which includes the return of Friday fireworks shows, three themed jersey giveaways, and new first pitch times for most home games. With the full lineup of promotions and giveaways and the potential for another talented team, the JetHawks are poised to continue offering fans the best and most affordable family entertainment in the Antelope Valley.

The biggest 4th of July Fireworks in the Antelope Valley return to The Hangar along with eight other fireworks shows following Friday night games. The fireworks shows get started following the game on May 23 with a tribute to The Rolling Stones. Other themes include The Beatles, Michael Jackson, The "Hawking" Dead, Star Wars, Princess in the Park Night and the popular "fans' choice" spectacular.

This season's Saturday giveaways will give fans a chance to show their JetHawks pride while also repping Team USA and their favorite Los Angeles basketball teams. The three jersey giveaways feature a World Cup jersey (June 28), an Astros throwback uniform (July 19) and a reversible Los Angeles-themed basketball jersey (August 30).

The JetHawks will host two bobblehead giveaway nights featuring a "mystery" Star Wars bobblehead and the famous Aerospace Appreciation bobblehead. Other giveaways include a backpack, cooler bag and sleeved blanket.

To add to the tremendous giveaway schedule, the JetHawks are introducing giveaways for kids 12 and under for select Sunday games in 2014. Giveaways include a baseball glove, super hero capes, kids camo t-shirts and more.

The 2014 season will include various themed nights to spice things up at The Hangar. Dress to the nines on "Dapper Day" or spook the opposing team on "The Hawking Dead Summer Halloween Night." Other themes include a "Fake Patty's Day Party" (with "real" drinks) and "Duck Dynasty Night".

Local Heroes Wednesday is being added to a great lineup of weekly promotions. All first responders and military will be offered half priced tickets for Wednesday games. The JetHawks will continue to team up with local charities for Make-A- Difference Monday, offer great deals on tickets and concessions for Two-4-Tuesday and the team will wear throwback uniforms while fans can throw back some brews with great deals at the beer stands on Throw 'Em Back Thursdays.

The thousands of fans who take advantage of these great giveaways and promotions will be arriving to the ballpark slightly earlier for all night home games during the 2014 season. Weeknight home games (Monday-Friday) are being moved up 30 minutes to 6:30 p.m. to accommodate families with young children and individuals with early arrival times at work. Saturday start times will be moved up one hour to 6 p.m. Sunday home games during the first half of the season will start at 2 p.m. and will move back to 5 p.m. during the second half.
