The native of Lincoln, Nebraska has a vast background in Minor League Baseball as prior to his arrival in Lancaster, Backemeyer helped develop franchises in Nashville, Rancho Cucamonga, Fresno, and Everett. He is a graduate of Colorado State University (BA) with an MBA from the University of Denver.

The 2020 season will mark Katie's 3^rd season with the JetHawks, and 10^th season in Minor League Baseball. Originally from Bellingham, WA, Katie is a graduate of California State University, Northridge, and now lives in Lancaster with her husband & their two daughters.
