JetHawks Annual Holiday Caravan Starts December 19

December 15, 2016

(LANCASTER, CA) -The Lancaster JetHawks Annual Holiday Caravan will make its way around the Antelope Valley throughout the week of December 19th. This year KaBoom and the JetHawks front office staff have scheduled stops throughout the Antelope Valley to spread cheer and give out gifts to help needy families and heroes this holiday season.

The JetHawks' first stop will be at the Wal-Mart, located on Valley Central Way in Lancaster, on Monday the 19th from 8:00-5:00. The JetHawks staff will be ringing the bell to raise money for the local Salvation Army through their Red Kettle program. Any fan who contributes at least $5 will receive a voucher for a free ticket to a JetHawks game in April. The Salvation Army helps local families & children with resources including housing, youth camps, hunger relief and Christmas assistance.

On Tuesday the 20th, the JetHawks caravan will be travelling throughout the Antelope Valley with Santa, KaBoom, and front office staff in tow. At 10:00 the caravan will be at AV Hospital Pediatrics Ward. KB, Santa and the staff will be giving gifts to children who may be spending the holidays in the hospital. Gifts include action figures, stuffed animals, remote controlled cars and DVDs just to name a few. Gifts were donated by the Lancaster JetHawks Booster Club and front office staff.

The next stop will be Grace Resource Center, where KaBoom and the staff will help distribute food to families in need this holiday season. JetHawks fans are encouraged to come out and help KB and staff work hard to help provide for those less fortunate in the Antelope Valley.

In the afternoon, the caravan will head to Rancho Village in Palmdale to visit with their senior residents and their Beanbag Baseball team that just won the Central California Regional Championship!

On Wednesday the 21st, KaBoom and JetHawks staff members will go to Child Care Resource Center for storytime with their children. The JetHawks and CCRC teamed up to raise books at this year's Laps 4 Literacy event held at The Hangar in October, which is always a huge event for AV families.

"The Holiday Caravan is one of the best JetHawks traditions," says Will Thornhill, JetHawks General Manager, "It gives our staff and fans the opportunity to give back to those less fortunate in the Antelope Valley. Seeing KB bring smiles to the faces of children in our community is what the holiday season is all about."
