VISALIA, Calif. - The JetHawks fell behind early to the Visalia Rawhide on Wednesday afternoon and could never fully recover, dropping the first game of a four game series, 5-2, at Rawhide Ballpark.

The Rawhide put up four runs in the first three innings against starter Chris Devenski (3-2) and put up good pitching the rest of the way to shut down Lancaster's bats.

Rehabbing Major Leaguer Adam Eaton went 3-for-5 out of the leadoff spot with three runs scored and a stolen base to set the table for Visalia.

He led off the first inning with a single, stole second and scored on a Raul Navarro base-hit to put the Rawhide on the board. Navarro later scored on a Ryan Court fielder's choice to go up, 2-0.

Eaton created a run again in the second inning with a two-out double. He came around to score on another Navarro hit.

Court led off the third inning with a solo home run, his third of the season, to put Visalia up, 4-0.

Devenski tossed a scoreless fourth inning before exiting the game with four runs and seven hits on his line.

The JetHawks cut the lead in half in the fifth inning. Telvin Nash led off with a double and eventually scored on a Matt Duffy sacrifice-fly. Delino DeShields would later drive in Tyler Heineman with a single up the middle for Lancaster's second and final run.

Brady Rodgers, the piggy-back starter, allowed a run in his first inning of work before settling down to throw two scoreless innings.

Keith Hessler (2-1) picked up the win for Visalia. He allowed two runs over six innings of work.

The bullpen trio of Robert Coe, Patrick Schuster and Jake Barrett combined for three hitless innings to end the game. Barrett picked up his ninth save.

The loss snapped the JetHawks' (23-16) five-game win streak. They'll look to start a new streak against Visalia (24-15) on Thursday night at 7:00 pm. David Rollins (3-3, 3.99) and Tyson Perez (1-1, 6.68) will throw for Lancaster.
