Media Credentials

Media Guidelines

SEASON CREDENTIALS: Season credentials for the 2023 season will only be issued to legitimate news organizations that cover the Captains on a daily basis. Season credential requests can be submitted online through the Captains Full Season Media Credential Application form above.

DAILY CREDENTIALS: Daily credentials will be issued to individuals or organizations who do not qualify for season credentials. The Captains Media Relations Department should be notified within 24 hours in advance of the game or event for which daily credentials are being requested. Requests can be made online through the Captains Single Game Media Credential Application form above. Once approved, credentials will be available for pickup at the will call window.

WEBSITES, BLOGGERS AND FREELANCERS: Bloggers, freelance writers and photographers may request daily credentials, which will reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Credential requests will be accepted or denied based on spacing, scheduling and the discretion of the Captains Media Relations Department. Requests can be submitted online through the Captains Single Game Media Credential Application form above.

CREDENTIAL PICKUP: The Captains will notify those qualifying for season credentials on an individual basis prior to the season regarding pickup. Daily credentials will only be available for pickup at the media will call window.

PRESS BOX ACCESS: The Captains will assign press box seats to a select number of publications. Only media with an assigned seat will be granted access to the press box. Please note that only one (1) media member per publication will be allowed to use their publication's assigned seat each game. Please plan accordingly if multiple members of your organization plan to cover a single game.

PRESS BOX SEATING: As mentioned above, press box seating will be assigned. Seats will be socially distanced and marked with the name of your publication. Please remain in your assigned seat while in the press box.

ALTERNATE PRESS SEATING: Due to limited press box space, the Captains have designated five (5) seating bowl seats for any media that does not have an assigned press box seat.

ARRIVAL: Approved media is permitted to enter Classic Park up to four (4) hours prior to first pitch.

PARKING: The Captains issue a limited number of full season parking passes to select media members. Those media members who have not been granted a full season parking pass will be required to pay the standard parking rate in Captains parking lots. For any questions about parking policies or to inquire about a full season parking pass, please email [email protected].

INTERVIEW REQUESTS: The Captains Media Relations Department is happy to assist members of the media with procuring interviews with Captains players and coaching staff. Media members wishing to schedule an interview for a feature story must contact the Captains Media Relations Department at least 48 hours prior to the requested interview time. Interview requests do not guarantee interview availability.

SOCIAL MEDIA/LIVE STREAMING: In accordance with Minor League Baseball rules, unauthorized live streaming of in-game action via social media or any other platform is prohibited.

VIOLATIONS: The Captains reserve the right to suspend or revoke credentials, a publication's assigned press box seat or an individual media member's press box access for protocol violations or other behavior deemed inappropriate.
