Hillcats kickoff season with Fan Fest on March 31

Giveaways, raffles, stadium tours, free food and more headline event at City Stadium

Lynchburg, Va.- The Lynchburg Hillcats will host Fan Fest at City Stadium on Saturday, March 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is FREE to the public and will offer fans a wide variety of activities throughout the day.

Lynchburg, Va.- The Lynchburg Hillcats will host Fan Fest at City Stadium on Saturday, March 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is FREE to the public and will offer fans a wide variety of activities throughout the day.

Fans will be able to take batting practice on the field (weather permitting), taste test new concession items and pose for photos in front of the LOVE sign. All fans will receive one free hot dog at concessions.
The 13th annual media home run derby will take place at the beginning of Fan Fest, featuring on-air TV and radio personalities from the Lynchburg area. Last year, Anthony Santaniello of ESPN in VA won the home run derby. Justin Feldkamp of WSET ABC 13 has won the derby five times including four straight from 2009-2012 and again in 2015.
During the event, fans will have a chance to explore parts of the stadium normally off limits to the public, including the home and visiting clubhouses. Hillcats General Manager Ronnie Roberts will lead the tour.
The Hillcats will be hosting a sidewalk sale outside the souvenir store. Among the items available are retro jerseys, caps and more.
All fans that attend Fan Fest will receive a free raffle ticket. The Hillcats will be raffling off game tickets, merchandise and a night in a skybox suite, subject to availability. The suite will include up to 20 tickets.
The Kids Zone will be open and youth's attending Fan Fest will enjoy several inflatables set up on the concourse, an Easter egg hunt and Southpaw shenanigans.
Fans can pick up their season tickets as well as purchase tickets for the 2018 season.
