PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (May 12, 2017) - The Charlotte Stone Crabs (18-17) used 11 runs over the first four innings to defeat the Fort Myers Miracle (16-20) 11-2 on Friday Night.

Charlotte came out with four runs in the first inning against starter RHP Chris Anderson (L, 0-1). After a wild pitch brought in the first run, the Stone Crabs extended their lead with three base hits to score three runs by Brett Sullivan, Ryan Boldt and Dalton Kelly.

Sullivan collected a pair of triples along with three runs and three RBI over the first four innings. Jake Fraley added a two-run single in the third, and Jake Cronenworth and Boldt padded the lead with RBI-singles in the fourth.

All told, Anderson was charged with 11 runs, ten earned, on 11 hits over three innings. The Miracle relievers tossed the final five innings giving up just one hit and no runs. RHP Genesis Cabrera (W, 3-3) walked four, but allowed a single hit over six innings to pick up the win.

Chris Paul and Sean Miller each knocked home a run in the loss. In the bottom of the eighth, LHP Anthony McIver was ejected after hitting his second batter of the game.

The Miracle look to avoid a sweep in Charlotte with RHP Dereck Rodriguez on the mound on Saturday. He opposes RHP Blake Bivens for the Stone Crabs. First pitch is set for 6:05 PM ET.
