SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Missions are proud to announce that country star Pat Green will return to The Wolff to play a post-game concert on Saturday, August 26 to kick off the last weekend of Summer.
The three-time Grammy Award nominee returns to the Alamo City after his post-game Memorial Day Weekend Concert was postponed due to inclement weather.
Green, who was born in San Antonio and grew up in Waco, TX, started his music career at Texas Tech University playing small gigs around Lubbock, TX. The 44-year-old's first major-label recorded album, Three Days, was released in 2001 and rose to No. 7 on the U.S. Country charts.
Two years later, his album, Wave on Wave, reached No. 2 on the country charts and earned gold-certified status. The album's title track, of the same name, ranked as high as third. Green has had two other albums, Cannonball and What I'm For, rise to No. 2 on the charts.
In addition to "Wave on Wave", Green has had single hits like "Carry On", "Three Days", "Don't Break My Heart", "Feels Just Like It Should" and "Let Me." Fifteen of his singles have landed on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts.
The Missions will face the Corpus Christi Hooks (Houston Astros AA) on August 26, with first pitch slated for 6:05 PM. Pat Green will take the stage, which will be located on the left field berm, right after the game. Following the concert, Missions fans will be treated to the best fireworks show in town.
Fans with tickets for the May 28 game can exchange those at the Missions' Box Office for outfield reserved tickets to the rescheduled concert event. Individual tickets to the August 26 game can be purchased now by calling 210-675-7275 or visiting samissions.com.
