Jalen Miller, Dylan Dodd Named Farm Bureau Player & Pitcher of the Week

PEARL, MS - The Mississippi Braves and Farm Bureau are excited to announce that infielder Jalen Miller and starting pitcher Dylan Dodd have been named the Farm Bureau Player and Pitcher of the Week.

Miller, 25, hit .333 with two doubles and four RBI in four games against Biloxi. Miller recorded a hit in all four games and is currently riding a six-game hitting streak.

Miller has been splitting time between second base, left field and designated hitter this season. He is batting .239 with 7 home runs and 32 RBI in 66 games for the M-Braves.

Atlanta acquired Miller from San Francisco in the Rule 5 Draft in December 2020.

Dodd, 24, logged a quality start on Saturday against Biloxi. The left-hander went six innings, allowing two runs in his second quality start for the M-Braves. He struck out six with just one walk.

In four starts for Mississippi, Dodd has a 4.35 ERA in 20 2/3 innings. He has 24 strikeouts to six walks. Atlanta promoted Dodd to Mississippi from High-A Rome on July 12.

Atlanta drafted Dodd in the third round of the 2021 First Year Player Draft.

The club returns to action with a six-game road series against Tennessee tonight at 6:15 p.m. CT. The M-Braves return home for on Tuesday, August 16.
