San Jose, CA. - After taking the lead in the top of the ninth, the San Jose Giants came back to walk-off against the Modesto Nuts in the 6-5 loss on Saturday night at Municipal Stadium.

Kevin Santa scored on a wild pitch in the top off the ninth against Giants (10-7) reliever Rodolfo Martinez (W, 2-0) to give the Nuts (6-11) a one-run advantage.

David McKay (L, 1-1) entered with a chance to save it in the ninth for the Nuts. He retired the first batter he faced before Bryce Johnson laced a hustle double into left. McKay struck out Jalen Miller to bring the Nuts one out away from the win. Frandy De La Rosa followed. Down to the Giants' last strike, De La Rosa rolled a grounder to third. Kevin Santa scooped it cleanly but threw wide to first allowing Johnson to score and tie the game. Jacob Heyward delivered the game-winning double when he lined a ball into right-center field. De La Rosa scored from first and the Nuts lost in walk-off fashion for the second time in the series.

The Nuts had eliminated their early deficit late in the game. Down by three in the seventh, Gareth Morgan drilled an opposite field, three-run triple. In the eighth, Evan White and Logan Taylor smacked back-to-back, two-out doubles to drive in a pair and give the Nuts their first lead.

White went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Bryson Brigman went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored.
