BILOXI, MS (August 2, 2026) – The Montgomery Biscuits erupted for a season-high 20 runs and blasted four home runs to roll past the Biloxi Shuckers, 20-3, on Sunday evening at Keesler Federal Park, earning a series victory.

Montgomery (52-49) wasted no time jumping in front when Austin Overn opened the game with a solo home run to right before Xavier Isaac launched a two-run homer later in the inning, giving the Biscuits an early 3-0 lead.

Biloxi (54-44) chipped away in the second when Marco Dinges lined an RBI double to left, then evened the game in the third as Jesús Made crushed a two-run home run to left, tying the contest at 3-3.

The Biscuits answered immediately in the fifth. Kamren James scored on Isaac's sacrifice fly before a double steal brought home Overn. Will Simpson followed with an RBI double to left, extending Montgomery's lead to 6-3.

Montgomery broke the game open with a seven-run sixth inning. Cooper Kinney lifted a sacrifice fly before Isaac drew a bases-loaded walk to force home a run. Mac Horvath followed with another bases-loaded walk, and Kenny Piper capped the frame with a grand slam to left field, stretching the advantage to 13-3.

The Biscuits added seven more runs in the eighth. Horvath scored when Gregory Barrios reached on a throwing error before Overn ripped a three-run triple into right field. Isaac then capped the scoring with his second homer of the afternoon, giving Montgomery its 20-3 lead.

Montgomery finished with 14 hits while drawing 11 walks. Isaac powered the offense by going 2-for-3 with two home runs, seven RBI, two walks, and a sacrifice fly. Overn finished 2-for-4 with a home run, a triple, four RBI, four runs scored, and two walks. Piper delivered a grand slam and four RBI, while Barrios collected two hits and scored twice. Simpson added two hits and an RBI, and Horvath drove in a run while reaching base three times. All nine starters recorded at least one hit, eight scored a run and seven recorded an RBI in the win.

Garrett Edwards (3-8) earned the win after allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits over 5.0 innings while striking out three. Jacob Kmatz followed with two scoreless innings, and Andrew Lindsey tossed the final two scoreless frames to complete the victory.

Biloxi starter Stiven Cruz allowed three runs over 2.0 innings before Chandler Welch (0-1) took the loss after surrendering six runs in 2.0 innings. Tanner Perry allowed nine runs, eight earned, over 2.1 innings, and Garrett Hodges gave up the final two runs before Jheremy Vargas recorded the final three outs.
