MONTGOMERY, AL (August 26, 2026) – The Montgomery Biscuits snapped a three-game losing streak in emphatic fashion, blanking the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 10-0, on Wednesday night at DABOS Park.
The Biscuits jumped on Pensacola starter Luis Moreno for four runs in the bottom of the first inning. Will Simpson opened the scoring with an RBI single, bringing home Mac Horvath, before Justyn-Henry Malloy followed with an RBI double to score Simpson. Gregory Barrios added an RBI single later in the inning, and Kamren James drew a bases-loaded walk to cap the four-run frame.
Montgomery added three more runs in the third. James lined an RBI double to right field to score J.T. Arruda, while a wild pitch allowed Barrios to cross the plate. Cooper Kinney followed with an RBI groundout, scoring James and extending the Biscuits' lead to 7-0.
The Biscuits continued to add on in the sixth when Theo Gillen singled home Kinney for an 8-0 advantage.
Montgomery capped the scoring with two runs in the eighth. Malloy collected his second double of the night, scoring Horvath, before Arruda followed with an RBI single to bring home Simpson and make it 10-0.
Malloy led the Biscuits offensively, going 2-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, and a run scored. Horvath finished 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, while Simpson went 2-for-2 with an RBI and three walks. James went 1-for-3 with a double, two RBI, a walk, and a run scored, while Barrios and Arruda each added a hit and an RBI.
Garrett Edwards turned in 5.0 scoreless innings to earn the win, allowing three hits while walking two and striking out three. Tommy McCollum followed with 2.0 scoreless innings, allowing two walks and striking out two, before Juniior William closed out the shutout with 2.0 scoreless innings, striking out a pair.
