Biscuits Rally for 5-4 Walk-Off Win Over Columbus

MONTGOMERY, AL (September 12, 2026) – The Montgomery Biscuits rallied from a four-run deficit to defeat the Columbus Clingstones, 5-4, in 10 innings Saturday night at DABOS Park, improving to 70-66 on the season.

Columbus jumped in front with four runs in the second inning. Carson Taylor launched a two-run homer to right-center field, his sixth of the season, before John Gil added an RBI single to score Archer Brookman. Eric Hartman followed with another RBI single, although Justyn-Henry Malloy threw out Gil at home to end the inning.

Montgomery began its comeback in the fourth. Gregory Barrios delivered a two-run single to right, scoring Mac Horvath and J.T. Arruda to cut the deficit to 4-2.

The Biscuits tied the game in the fifth. Brock Jones launched a two-run homer to right, his third of the season, scoring Kamren James and making it 4-4.

Neither team scored again through the ninth, sending the game to extra innings.

Montgomery won it in the 10th. Ryan Spikes started the inning as the automatic runner and advanced to third on a single by James. After Horvath reached to put runners at first and second, Arruda drew a bases-loaded walk to bring home Spikes and give the Biscuits the 5-4 victory.

Barrios finished 2-for-4 with two RBI, while Horvath went 2-for-4 and Jones added the two-run homer. Arruda scored once and drove in a run, while James collected two hits.

On the mound, Marcus Johnson allowed four runs over 4.0 innings while striking out four. K.C. Hunt, Hayden Snelsire, Junior William and Tommy McCollum combined for 6.0 scoreless innings, with McCollum earning the win to improve to 4-9.
