MADISON, AL - Duncan Davitt matched a career high with seven innings and led the Montgomery Biscuits (16-13) to a 7-0 shutout win over the Rocket City Trash Pandas (9-19) on Thursday night at Toyota Field. The Biscuits won their fourth straight game and improved to 8-1 against Rocket City this season.

Davitt has allowed one run in 17 innings over three starts against the Trash Pandas this season. This start was the best of the bunch and included six strikeouts and five scattered hits. Davitt threw 69 strikes in 89 pitches. The right-hander improved to 3-2 with a 2.81 ERA over six starts this season.

After failing to garner a baserunner in the first three innings, the Biscuits exploded in the fourth. The club ripped off six straight hits to take a 4-0 lead. Homer Bush Jr. and Matthew Etzel hit back-to-back doubles to start the inning. Brayden Taylor doubled in a run in the frame as well.

Will Simpson homered in back-to-back games with a leadoff shot to left field in the eighth. Etzel tacked on another run in the ninth to make it 7-0. Etzel has five RBI in the last two games.

Ty Johnson punched out five in two scoreless innings to close out the game.

The fourth game of the series is on Friday night at Toyota Field. Owen Wild will make the start for Montgomery while Joel Hurtado is slated to start for Rocket City. The first pitch is at 6:35pm CT. Fans can listen on Jox 740, MLB At Bat, and Bally Live.
