MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Montgomery Biscuits (52-48, 14-17) fell in extra innings to the Columbus Clingstones (39-58, 13-18) by a 4-3 score on Friday night.

Brody Hopkins represented the Biscuits in a pitching duel with Columbus’ Ian Mejia. Hopkins dealt an impressive 10 strikeouts over a scoreless seven innings. That ties his career high for innings pitched and strikeouts.

Both Dan Hammer and Derrick Edington came in relief of Hopkins. They combined for three more strikeouts in as many innings to keep it scoreless after ten.

In the 11th inning, Columbus managed to take a 4-0 lead. The Biscuits nearly rallied, but fell short in the 4-3 loss.

The fifth game of the home series is on Saturday night at Riverwalk Stadium. Ty Johnson will make the start for Montgomery while Drue Hackenberg is slated to start for Columbus. The first pitch is at 6:05pm CT. Fans can listen on Jox 740, MLB At Bat, and Bally Live.
