Presented by Mars and brought to you by Rawlings, the Bentonville Film Festival is excited to announce the third annual A League of Their Own Reunion Ballgame at Arvest Ballpark. This event is inspired by the 1992 hit movie "A League of Their Own" starring BFF co-founder Geena Davis, about an all women's professional baseball league that springs up in the Midwest during World War II.

"This event has been so popular the past two years. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the film, so we are especially excited to host this event again and I'm thrilled to have many of my Rockford Peaches cast mates attending the game," said Davis.

Those Rockford Peaches are:

  • Lori Petty, who played Kit Keller
  • Megan Cavanaugh, who played Marla Hooch
  • Tracy Reiner, who played Betty "Spaghetti" Horn
  • Anne Ramsay, who played Helen Haley
  • Patti Pelton, who played Marbleann Wilkenson
  • Renee Colman, who played Alice Gaspers

All American Girls Professional Baseball League player, Sue Zipay will attend this year. Zipay played professional baseball for the Rockford Peaches from 1953 through 1954 and, along with the other AAGPBL players, was recognized by The Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988. She played Beans Babbitt in the movie.

Gates will open at 10:30 a.m. to allow guests to enjoy family-fun events at the ballpark. Peekaboo Magazine KidsZone will entertain families with inflatables, an obstacle course, putt-putt golf, whiffle ball, the NWA Naturals Kid's Train, photo booth, laser tag archery, art station, kids' mechanical bull riding and much more. All this with free food samples from Mars candy and many other sponsor giveaways.

Bring the family for lots of fun, food and softball to celebrate the 25th anniversary of "A League of Their Own" at the Bentonville Film Festival's reunion ballgame.

When: Sunday, May 7. Gates Open for family fun activities at 10:30 a.m. First pitch is at 12:00 p.m.
