Game Summary: A season-high four home runs and an eight-run fifth inning sent the Oklahoma City Baseball Club to a 14-5 win Sunday afternoon against the Round Rock Express at Dell Diamond. Andy Pages hit two home runs in the game and put Oklahoma City in front early with a solo homer in the first inning to cap off a 13-pitch at-bat. A bases-loaded walk by Kevin Padlo in the third inning gave OKC a 2-0 lead before the team erupted with eight runs in the fifth inning to build a 10-0 advantage. Padlo knocked a two-run double, Andre Lipcius hit his fourth home run of the season out to left field, Drew Avans connected on a RBI single and Pages belted a three-run shot out to left-center field before an out was made. After OKC (10-5) built an 11-0 lead, the Express ended the shutout with a run in the sixth inning. OKC’s Ryan Ward answered with a three-run homer for a 14-1 advantage in the seventh inning before the Express (7-8) scored four runs on two home runs in the eighth and ninth innings.

Of Note:

-Andy Pages hit two home runs — a solo homer in the first inning and a three-run homer in fifth inning — and has now hit five home runs in his last seven games. He went 3-for-5 Sunday with a season-high four RBI and scored three runs. Pages has back-to-back three-hit games and has hit safely in eight consecutive games, going 18-for-35 with five homers, two doubles, 14 RBI and 10 runs scored. He has seven multi-hit games during the stretch, including four straight…Pages leads OKC overall with 23 hits this season and 16 runs scored…His two homers and four RBI Sunday marked his highest single-game totals since April 14, 2023 with Tulsa at Midland when he also had two homers and four RBI.

-Oklahoma City hit a season-high four home runs in the series finale, including two homers by Andy Pages, one by Andre Lipcius and another by Ryan Ward. It was OKC’s highest home run total in a game since hitting five homers Aug. 11, 2023 in Tacoma…OKC also had a season-high nine extra-base hits for its highest total since also recording nine July 28, 2023 at Reno…OKC also drew a season-high nine walks — the most for the team since Sept. 21, 2023 in Albuquerque when the team had 10 walks.

-OKC’s pitching staff held the Express scoreless over the first five innings of a bullpen game and to one run through seven innings. John Rooney (1-1) pitched 2.0 scoreless innings, allowing one hit with three strikeouts and was credited with the win…Six pitchers combined for 10 strikeouts to post OKC’s third-straight double-digit strikeout total.

-OKC has won four straight games for the team’s longest winning streak of the season and longest since a six-game winning streak July 22-28, 2023…OKC won a second straight series, defeating Round Rock, 4-2.

-Oklahoma City scored a season-high 14 runs Sunday, and over the final four games of the series, outscored the Express, 37-11. OKC last scored 14 runs in a game Aug. 27, 2023 in a 14-0 home win against Albuquerque…OKC scored eight runs in the fifth inning Sunday after also scoring eight runs in the fourth inning Saturday night. OKC recorded back-to-back games with at least a seven-run inning last season on June 11 in El Paso and June 13 against Salt Lake, but before Sunday had not scored eight or more runs in an inning in back-to-back games since at least 2005.

-Ryan Ward has three homers in his last six games along with 13 RBI…Andre Lipcius homered in a second straight game and is 6-for-10 with a double, triple, two homers and five RBI over the last two games…Drew Avans hit his team-leading third triple of the season and has hit safely in seven straight games, going 13-for-30 with four doubles, two triples and 11 runs scored.

-The game lasted 3 hours, 18 minutes for the longest game of season for Oklahoma City.
