Of Note:

-The Dodgers have lost back-to-back games after winning the first two games of the series. They have also lost four of the last six games and fell to 4-9 in July, exceeding their loss total for the entire month of June when they went 18-8. El Paso also defeated Round Rock Friday, moving El Paso into a tie for first place in the PCL’s East Division. It’s the first time since June 4 the Dodgers have not had sole possession of first place.

-Jason Martin homered for a second straight game, hitting a two-run blast in the first inning. Martin has hit eight homers in his last 15 games, nine homers in his last 17 games and he leads OKC with 19 home runs this season. His home run was the first allowed by Tacoma pitcher Justus Sheffield this season against a left-handed hitter. Martin has hit safely in 10 of his 12 games this month, batting .313 (15x48) with six homers, two doubles and 12 RBI.

-Drew Avans led off the game with a single, extending his current on-base streak to 27 games, which is the longest by an OKC player this year and longest active streak in the PCL. He has now hit safely in 23 of his last 27 games and has reached base safely in 41 of his last 42 games. Avans stole two bases Friday, marking the third time this season he’s had two steals in a game. He leads OKC with 16 stolen bases this year.

-Jake Amaya went 2-for-4 to collect his third multi-hit game of the series. Over four games in Tacoma, Amaya is 6-for-14 with three walks.

-Friday’s game featured a total of seven stolen bases – three by the Dodgers and four by the Rainiers. The Dodgers tied their season highs in stolen bases as well as stolen bases allowed.

-For the ninth time in 13 games this month, the Dodgers allowed at least seven runs. The Rainiers have scored 15 runs and collected 20 hits over the last two games after the Dodgers held Tacoma to five runs and nine hits over the first two games of the series.

-The Dodgers tied their season low with one walk and did not draw a walk until the ninth inning. OKC leads all Triple-A teams with 420 walks this season.
