Game Summary: The Oklahoma City Comets won a seventh straight game with a 12-2 victory over the Salt Lake Bees Wednesday night at The Ballpark at America First Square. The Comets (19-15/60-48) took a 1-0 lead in the second inning with a RBI double by Ryan Fitzgerald, but Salt Lake (10-25/50-59) answered in the bottom of the inning with a solo homer by Logan Porter. The Comets took the lead with a four-run fifth inning, including a RBI single by James Tibbs III and two-run triple by Zach Ehrhard. OKC put together another four-run frame in the sixth inning with run-scoring doubles from Alex Freeland and Tibbs. The Comets capped the offensive outburst with a three-run ninth inning. Fitzgerald hit a two-run homer and Alek Thomas notched a RBI single. Salt Lake ended the night with one run in the bottom of the ninth.

Of Note:

-The Comets have won seven straight games, matching their longest winning streak of the season initially set May 14-21…The Comets are a season-best 12-games over .500 at 60-48 and became the third PCL team to reach 60 wins, joining Las Vegas and Sacramento.

-OKC has scored double-digit runs in each of the last two games, with a total of 22 runs and 29 hits. It’s the first time the Comets have scored at least 10 runs in consecutive games since a four-game streak May 17-20 at Albuquerque. OKC scored 12 runs in a game for the first time since May 26 at Sugar Land...The Comets have scored at least six runs in eight of the last nine games, totaling 70 runs in that span…Oklahoma City finished with at least 10 hits for the sixth time in the last eight games and at least 12 hits for the fifth time during the current seven-game winning streak...OKC has also put together a three-run inning in each of the last nine games, netting three such innings Wednesday.

-Six Comets finished with at least two hits. Ryan Fitzgerald, Noah Miller and Alek Thomas had three hits apiece…Fitzgerald went 3-for-5 with a home run, double and three RBI…Fitgerald leads the Minors with 130 hits this season.

-Zach Ehrhard went 2-for-4 with a triple, three RBI and a run scored to extend his on-base streak to 14 games. The outfielder is batting .377 (20-for-53) with 13 RBI, 13 walks and 14 runs scored during the stretch.

-James Tibbs III finished 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, a walk, a stolen base and run scored. He’s recorded a hit in each of his last five games (10-for-18) and eight of his last nine contests. During the nine-game stretch, Tibbs is 13-for-31 (.419) with four doubles, one triple, seven RBI and six walks.

-Bobby Miller began a Major League rehab assignment and tossed 2.0 innings with one run, two hits and three strikeouts. He threw 47 pitches (28 strikes). The appearance marked Miller’s season debut and his first since Sept. 21, 2025 with Oklahoma City at Tacoma...He is currently on the Dodgers’ 60-day Injured List due to right shoulder soreness.

-Landon Knack earned his second straight victory, tossing 5.1 relief innings with one run, six hits and four strikeouts. He set season-highs in innings and pitches (72)...With 230 career strikeouts, Knack surpassed Brock Stewart for fourth all-time in the Bricktown era.

-The Comets matched a season high with five steals for the second time this year, first accomplished July 8 vs. El Paso…Oklahoma City has swiped a Triple-A leading 15 bases over the last six games.

-The Comets won a game by at least 10 runs for the fifth time this season.
