Albuquerque Isotopes — 10

Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021 – Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park – Albuquerque, N.M.

Game Summary: Four different Oklahoma City Dodgers players homered as the Dodgers scored four runs in two separate innings on the way to an 11-10 win against the Albuquerque Isotopes in the series finale between the teams Tuesday night at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park. After the Isotopes took the game’s first lead, the Dodgers scored three runs in the second inning on a RBI triple by Carlos Asuaje and RBI singles by Drew Avans and Gavin Lux. Albuquerque (38-45) went back in front with five straight runs to open up a 6-3 lead in the fourth inning. The Dodgers’ first four-run inning of the night followed. Luke Raley’s solo homer out to left-center field led off the fifth inning and Zach Reks later added a three-run homer out to left-center field to put the Dodgers in front for good, 7-6. The Dodgers (44-40) put up another four runs in the eighth inning, including homers from Avans — a three-run shot — and Cristian Santana — a solo blast — for an 11-6 Dodgers lead. The Isotopes closed the gap to one run in the bottom of the eighth inning by scoring four runs, but OKC pitcher James Pazos closed out the win with a scoreless ninth inning for his third save of the season.

Of Note:

- With Tuesday’s victory, the Dodgers won three of their final four games in Albuquerque to earn a series split against the Isotopes, 3-3, and improve to 5-0-1 in their last six road series…OKC also finished its 12-game road trip with a 7-5 record and improved to 28-20 on the road overall this season. The Dodgers now own the most road wins in Triple-A West.

- Luke Raley finished with a game-high three hits, going 3-for-4 with a home run, as he collected three hits for a second straight night and at least three hits for the fourth time this season. He was also hit by a pitch for the 15th time this season and owns the second-most HBP’s in Triple-A West…After going without a hit in three games following his most recent option from the Los Angeles Dodgers, Raley is 7-for-14 with two doubles, two homers, four RBI and four runs scored in his last three games. Over his last 40 starts with OKC, Raley is 48-for-143 (.336) with 11 doubles, two triples, nine homers, 45 RBI and 39 runs scored.

- In his second Triple-A appearance, pitcher Andre Jackson (2-0) picked up his second win. He entered the game at the start of the fourth inning and served as the team’s primary pitcher with 3.0 innings. He allowed one run and two hits, did not issue a walk and recorded three strikeouts. Jackson made his Triple-A debut with a start Aug. 3 in Round Rock after being promoted from Double-A Tulsa July 31.

-For the sixth time this season, the Dodgers hit at least four homers in a game. On Tuesday, OKC also hit two homers in two separate innings. The Dodgers have now hit 54 homers over their last 30 games. Entering Tuesday night, OKC’s 50 homers in the last 29 games were second-most in all of Triple-A during the stretch and fifth-most in all of the Minors or Majors since July 8.

-Tuesday marked the eighth time in OKC’s last nine games that the Dodgers have scored at least six runs (70 R) and the 11-run output was also the ninth time in the last 11 games (81 R) OKC scored at least six runs…On the other hand, the Dodgers allowed at least 10 runs in a third straight game (31 R), marking the first time this season OKC has allowed at least 10 runs in three consecutive games. It is also the first time since a three-game losing skid Aug. 1-3, 2019 that OKC allowed at least 10 runs in three straight games. The Dodgers allowed 34 runs during that 2019 stretch in Salt Lake and Las Vegas.

- In the third game of his Major League Rehab Assignment, Gavin Lux went 2-for-4 with a RBI and scored a run. He’s now 3-for-8 with a walk, RBI and four runs scored since joining OKC Sunday. Lux has been on the Injured List since July 19 with a left hamstring strain.

- Cristian Santana replaced Gavin Lux in the seventh inning and homered in his lone at-bat in the eighth inning. Santana has now hit safely in his last 14 starts, going 23-for-56 (.411) with 11 RBI.

- The Dodgers improved to 9-5 in series finales this season, including 6-2 on the road. They have now won four of their last five series finales overall, as well as five straight road series finales.
