The 29-man College Division roster has been set for this Friday's 43rd Annual New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Joe Walsh All-Star Game. The University Division squad, which is made up of the region's top Division I players, will be announced next week following the completion of conference tournament play.
The College Division team features 13 of the top Division II players in New England and 16 of the top Division III seniors in the region. The squad has players from 20 different schools and is highlighted by Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Player of the Year Zach Goldstein of Southern New Hampshire, NEIBA Division III Player of the Year Alex Zachary of Eastern Connecticut State and Speros Varinos of Tufts, who was selected as the NEIBA Division III Pitcher of the Year.
The 2017 NEIBA Joe Walsh All-Star Game is set for 12 p.m. this Friday, June 2, at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, R.I. Gates will open at 11 am with a $5 admission charge. PawSox concessions and merchandise will be open during the duration of the game.
