While Kyle Tucker's walk-off, three-run home run on Saturday night sent the Fresno Grizzlies to the 2018 Pacific Coast League (PCL) playoffs, another team began to celebrate approximately 14 hours north.
The El Paso Chihuahuas had just gotten off the field after their game in Tacoma concluded, when they learned that with Fresno's win over Salt Lake, that they too would be going to the playoffs, as the four-time Pacific Southern Division Champions.

The Chihuahuas, who entering play on Monday hold the second-best record in the PCL (78-53) and clinched their fourth straight Pacific Southern Division title en route to becoming the first team in the PCL to reach the playoffs four years in a row since Omaha did so from 2011-14.
The Chihuahuas will be one of four teams in the playoffs, joining the three other division champions from around the PCL. Entering play on Monday, Fresno and the Memphis Redbirds had already clinched the Pacific Northern and American Southern divisions respectively, leaving only one spot left for the American Northern Division champion.
El Paso and Fresno are already locked into a first round, best-of-five series as the champions from the Pacific Northern and Pacific Southern Divisions. Memphis will either play Oklahoma City or Colorado Springs in their best-of-five series, with the winners squaring off for the PCL championship.
This means that playoff baseball will return to Southwest University Park beginning on Wednesday, September 5th! Because it is an even year, the Chihuahuas will host games one and two, while playing the final three games of the series against Fresno on the road.

Game 1 - Wednesday, September 5, 7:05 p.m. - Southwest University Park, El Paso, Texas
Game 2 - Thursday, September 6, 7:05 p.m. - Southwest University Park, El Paso, Texas
Game 3 - Friday, September 7, 8:05 p.m. - Chukchansi Park, Fresno, Calif.
Game 4 - Saturday, September 8, 8:05 p.m. - Chukchansi Park, Fresno, Calif. (If necessary)
Game 5 - Sunday, September 9, 6:05 p.m. - Chukchansi Park, Fresno, Calif. (If necessary)
